About me ...

Emily is an UK based independent music artist, writing and performing in the modern country/pop, Americana, singer / songwriter genres. She holds a First Class Degree in Songwriting from BIMM Manchester.

Emily's passion for music started at a young age when she first started playing the guitar at age 5 and started writing songs from age 12. Just a few years later and Emily's song "Reflection of Me" was highly commended in 2017 in the national Song Academy Young Songwriter competition (age 13 - 18 category) and her song "Nice Eyes" repeated this in the 2018 competition.

Emily's first collection of self-penned songs, called "Reflections of Me", was released in December 2016. In December 2018 a second EP called "My Imagination" was released and was awarded 5 stars by Maverick Music Magazine (Jan/Feb 2019 issue).

"Paint The Town Read", Emily's 3rd EP, was released in 2021 and was awarded 8/10 by Maverick Music Magazine (Jan/Feb 2021 issue).

Emily's 4th and latest EP "What The Hell Have I Got Myself Into ?" was crowdfunded in 2022 and available on a wider release from 13 Jan 2023, making Overtone Magazines EP of the year in December 2022.

Work on a 5th EP is well underway aiming for release in 2024..

Emily was one of the 5 shortlisted artists for the Horizon Artist award in the British Country Music Association (BCMA) awards and a semi-finalist in the 2022 The Liverpool International Song Contest (a.k.a.The Road to Nashville) songwriting competition with her track “Do You Wanna Go Out?” making the top 50 out of 20,305 song submissions.

Emily's music has been played on numerous radio stations in the UK and abroad, used in short films, licensed internationally for in-store radio airplay and have been released on compilation albums.

As regards live performances, Emily has opened for international and touring country/Americana and folk artists such as - The Sara Beth Trio/Royal South (US), Emily Barker (Aus), The Rising (UK), Madison Violet (Can), The Devon Worley Band (US), Jessica Lynn (US), Jess & The Bandits (US) and Morganway (UK). Emily has played in a variety of venues around the UK and festivals such as The Black Deer Festival, 110 Above Festival, Latitude Festival and The British Country Music Festival.
